There is still time for tea and a final airing of your favourite Nancy Mac tea-dress, as the sun fades on a rather lovely English summer.

Having spent the last few weeks in Sussex I made no less than three trips to my favourite tea place, The Littlington Tea Rooms, set on the site of a slightly faded yet charming old Edwardian pleasure garden.

Keep a note of this ever evolving BBC good food list of the best UK afternoon teas next time you feel like a fancy cuppa.
